Free Printable Thanksgiving Word Searches for Kids
Today I’m sharing a set of free printable Thanksgiving word searches for kids! These puzzles are filled with Thanksgiving-themed words, including turkeys, pumpkins, and some favorite holiday foods.
I made three different difficulty levels, so there’s something for both younger and older kids. They’re a fun, screen-free activity for a classroom Thanksgiving party, a quiet afternoon at home, or keeping everyone entertained before Thanksgiving dinner.

How to use the Thanksgiving Word Searches
These Thanksgiving word search worksheets are designed to be easy to print at home.
Step 1: Get the printable files
Scroll to the bottom of this post and grab the free Thanksgiving word search PDFs.
Step 2: Print the worksheets
Open the PDF files and print the puzzles on regular white printer paper. Use the fit-to-page setting if needed.
Step 3: Find the hidden words
Grab a pencil or colored markers and start searching for the words listed on each worksheet.
Step 4: Check the answers
Once the puzzle is finished, use the matching answer key to check the hidden words.
I recommend printing a few extra copies for classroom activities or Thanksgiving gatherings. That way, it’s easy to choose a different puzzle or try a harder level.
Easy Thanksgiving Word Search
The easy Thanksgiving word search has eight short words to find, including turkey, pie, corn, and fall.
Words are hidden horizontally and vertically, making this a good starting point for younger kids who are just getting used to word searches.
This version is especially nice for kindergarten and early elementary students. The shorter word list makes it a quick and manageable Thanksgiving activity.
Medium Thanksgiving Word Search
The medium puzzle has 12 Thanksgiving-themed words, including pumpkin, harvest, family, and stuffing.
I’ve mixed shorter words with some longer ones to make this version a little more challenging. Some words are also hidden diagonally.
This is a fun option for elementary students who have already tried a few word search puzzles.
Hard Thanksgiving Word Search
The hard Thanksgiving word search includes 15 words, with longer ones such as cornucopia, celebration, gratitude, and Thanksgiving.
Words can appear in different directions, including backwards and diagonally.
I’d recommend this version for older kids or anyone who enjoys a trickier word search.
