Free Printable St. Patrick’s Day Color by Number Pages for Kids
St. Patrick’s Day is such a fun holiday to craft for. Between the rainbows, clovers, and pots of gold, there are so many cute ideas to bring into printable activities. I just finished making a new set of free printable St. Patrick’s Day color by number pages, and they turned out so cute.
These are great for kids to work on independently or with a little help, especially preschoolers who are just starting to get the hang of number and color recognition.
Each coloring page has a little more detail than the last, so you can pick the best level for your child or go through all three as a mini challenge!
Page 1: Leprechaun Hat Color by Number (Easiest Page)
This is the simplest of the three designs and a perfect place to start. It features a large leprechaun hat with a shamrock and buckle, surrounded by scattered gold coins and clovers. The shapes are big, bold, and easy to color. Making it ideal for preschool kids just starting to explore number matching.
This St. Patrick’s Day color by number printable uses just three colors:
- Green (for the hat and clovers)
- Yellow (for the coins)
- Black (for the buckle)
It’s quick, beginner-friendly, and makes a great intro activity for younger kids. You can even print extra copies and let kids experiment with their own colors after completing the guided version.
Page 2: Leprechaun Color by Number Printable (Medium Difficulty)
This leprechaun color by number page is a step up in detail but still easy enough for preschool and kindergarten-aged kids. It features a cheerful little leprechaun with a big green hat, striped socks, and a friendly smile. There are more color sections in this one, including the face, beard, and outfit details.
Colors used:
- Green (hat, jacket, pants, socks)
- Yellow (buckle)
- Black (shoes and accents)
- Orange (beard and eyebrows)
- Skin tone (face and hands)
This one is perfect for kids who are ready for a little more structure. It also gives a nice opportunity to introduce skin tone coloring and talk about different color choices in art.
Page 3: Pot of Gold and Rainbow Color by Number (Most Detailed)
The final coloring page in the set is the most detailed, and probably the most fun! This pot of gold and rainbow color by number includes a full rainbow, gold coins, and shamrocks floating around the border. There are more color transitions and smaller shapes to fill in, which makes this one a great challenge for kids who’ve already completed the easier pages.
It uses seven colors:
- Green
- Yellow
- Blue
- Red
- Orange
- Purple
- Black
This printable looks amazing when finished, especially with the bright rainbow arching over the pot of gold. It’s a great choice for older preschoolers or early elementary students who want a bit more of a coloring challenge.
