Free Printable Leaf Outline Templates in Multiple Sizes
Today I’m sharing a set of free printable leaf outline templates. They’re perfect for simple fall crafts and decorating.
I made four different leaves. There’s a maple leaf, an oak leaf, and two simpler rounded and pointed leaf shapes.
Each leaf also comes in multiple sizes. You can print the size you need or mix several leaves together.
I’m also sharing a fun way to use them with markers and aluminum foil. A little water helps the colors blend together. Each leaf comes out looking different, which makes this a fun fall project for kids.
What’s included with the free leaf outline templates
There are four different leaf designs included in this collection:
- Maple leaf
- Oak leaf
- Pointed leaf
- Rounded leaf
The first printable includes all four leaves together on one page. This is a good option when you want a variety of leaves to print without using several sheets of paper.
I’ve also included separate printable pages for each leaf shape. The individual leaves come in larger and smaller sizes, so you don’t have to mess around with resizing them before printing.
Ways to use the printable leaf templates
There are lots of fun ways to use these templates for fall leaves. Print a few different shapes and sizes, then use them for an easy fall afternoon activity.
- Color the leaves with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
- Paint the leaves with watercolor paints or washable paint.
- Glue on torn paper in red, orange, yellow, and brown to make a colorful fall leaf.
- Add tissue paper squares to fill the inside of the leaf outline.
- Practice cutting by cutting around the different leaf shapes.
Make colorful fall leaves with markers and aluminum foil
This is a fun and easy toddler fall activity to try with the leaf templates:
Color aluminum foil with washable markers, spray it with a little water, then press the leaf template on top. It’s always fun to lift the paper and see how the fall colors have mixed together.
