Free Printable Reindeer Headband Craft
Christmas crafts are even more fun when they can be worn afterwards! This reindeer headband craft is a simple Christmas activity made with paper, scissors, and tape.

I kept the reindeer design cute and simple, with big antlers and little ears.
This free printable reindeer headband comes in two versions. There’s a black-and-white template to color in and a pre-colored version that’s ready to cut out.
Both versions include extra paper bands to adjust the size. It’s a fun Christmas craft for classroom activities, holiday parties, or an afternoon of crafting.
What you’ll need
- Free printable reindeer headband template – grab it down below!
- Heavy printer paper or cardstock
- Crayons, markers, or colored pencils (optional)
- Tape
- Scissors

I recommend using cardstock if possible. Regular printer paper works too, but cardstock helps the antlers stand upright and makes the headband a little sturdier.
How to make the reindeer headband
This Christmas headband craft is super easy to put together. Just print the template, color it if needed, and attach the bands.
Step 1: Print the reindeer headband template
Start by downloading and printing the free reindeer headband template at the bottom of this post.

There are two versions to choose from. The black-and-white version is perfect for coloring, while the pre-colored version is great for a quick craft.
There is a separate page with extra paper strips. The extra strips make it easy to adjust the size.
Step 2: Color the reindeer (optional)
If using the black-and-white template, color the reindeer before cutting out the pieces.
I recommend coloring everything while the paper is still flat. It’s much easier than trying to color the headband after it’s assembled.
If using the pre-colored version, skip this step.
Step 3: Cut out the pieces
Carefully cut around the outside of the reindeer headband.
Take a little extra time when cutting around the antlers. They have a few smaller curves that need more careful cutting.

Next, cut out the extra paper bands. Start with a couple of strips and save the others in case more length is needed.
Step 4: Attach the headband strips
Use tape or staples to attach an extra paper strip to each end of the main reindeer headband.
Make sure the strips line up with the band so everything fits together neatly.

I prefer using tape for headband crafts. It holds everything together quickly, and it’s easier to make adjustments.
Step 5: Adjust the size and secure the headband
Wrap the headband around the head to check the fit.
If it’s too short, add another paper strip. If it’s too long, overlap the ends a little more.

Once the size feels comfortable, tape the two ends together to form a circle.
And that’s it! The paper reindeer headband is ready to wear.
