Free Fall Finger Painting Printables for Kids
Today I’m sharing some fun finger painting ideas for toddlers and preschool kids that are perfect for fall. All you need is a few colors of washable paint and these printable pages to get started.

These fall finger painting printables are easy to set up and make a fun hands-on activity for little learners.
With pumpkins, a fingerprint tree template, and a fingerprint turkey to decorate, it’s an easy activity that’s both creative and fun.
Along the way, kids can practice color recognition, build fine motor skills, and enjoy creating their own fall artwork.
What you’ll need
- Printed finger painting pages (grab them down below)
- Washable finger paints
- White printer paper or cardstock and printer
- Baby wipes or paper towels
- Paint tray

Fall Tree Template Activity
Turn a bare tree into a beautiful fall tree by adding colorful fingerprint leaves. Try using red, orange, yellow, and brown paint to capture the colors of fall.

Instructions
- Fill a paint tray with a selection of fall paint colors.
- Dip your finger into one paint color.
- Press fingerprints around the branches to create leaves.
- Alternate colors to make the tree bright and colorful.
- Allow the page to dry before displaying it.

This page also makes one of the easiest color recognition activities by encouraging little learners to name each color before adding it to the tree.
Turkey Finger Painting Activity
Decorate the turkey by adding colorful fingerprint feathers. Every turkey will have its own unique look depending on the colors you choose.

Instructions
- Add several paint colors to a palette.
- Dip one finger into the paint.
- Press fingerprints around the turkey to create feathers.
- Repeat with different colors until the feathers are full.
- Leave the page to dry completely before displaying it.
Pumpkin Finger Painting Activity
This pumpkin page is a fun way to combine art and counting. Once all the pumpkins have been painted, you can count them together and see how many pumpkins you “grew.”

Instructions
- Print the pumpkin page and pour some orange washable paint into a paint tray.
- Let your kid dip a finger into the paint and stamp fingerprints onto each pumpkin.
- Leave the page to dry completely.
- Once it’s dry, count the pumpkins together and see how many you grew!
Tip: If you’re doing the pumpkin activity with toddlers, counting all of the pumpkins may be a little tricky. Instead, let them enjoy stamping the pumpkins with paint and talking about the colors as they create.
Older preschoolers can have fun counting the pumpkins once the page has dried.
